We really enjoyed the workshop Marion Anderson gave our group September, 2019. The focus was on preparing a textured canvas using mixed media and then creating an abstract floral composition. This was an informative and fun way to spend two days! Every member left the workshop having learned new techniques, and with a dynamic painting!

Such a fun opening @dag_lunenburg . You know you’re in Nova Scotia when one of the guests arrives wearing blue lobster fisherman gloves! And yes of course it was a ‘lobster and cheese’ reception.
Another glorious Tuesday morning spent painting with the Lunenburg Plein Air group. This time we gathered at East Stonehurst. Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused on the painting when the scenery is this beautiful and there is the opportunity to chat with so many interesting artists.
It’s Tuesday! That means plein air painting with this wonderful bunch of Lunenburg artists. This time we were off to Little Harbour which means you start by taking the ferry across the La Have River and finish with coffee and a scone at the bakery! The hardest part? Figuring out what view to paint because everywhere you look is perfection.
So fortunate to be painting in Nova Scotia - especially in a studio space like this! Absolutely no excuses for not getting work done except maybe grandchildren, time on the ocean, very long morning walks, etc etc etc. Oh the distractions!
Delivery day for ‘Crossection’ - the annual Central Ontario Art Association Juried Exhibition being held at Homer Watson House and Gallery, Kitchener. Many thanks to my delivery person for getting the pieces there safe and sound. The show runs from July 17th to September 8th.
Always a pleasure to get out with Lunenburg Plein Air Painters. This time it was Battery Point on a breezy, cool and damp morning that quickly turned warm- so typical of summer weather here. Even the twisted corrugated pipe we spotted along the path to the ocean looked artistic to me!
