Watercolour Beyond Beginner

This 6 week course is the perfect follow up to my ‘Intro to Watercolour” class.

Enjoy a great start to 2025 by giving yourself a few hours on Saturday mornings to paint, learn and laugh with new friends.

Class 1 and 2: Spirit cards and their uses

Class  3 : floral tricks and techniques

Class 4 : landscape tricks and techniques

Class 5 and 6 : figures

 

Materials:

Please bring your regular painting gear including:

  •  a board to work on
  • a 22x30” sheet of 140lb.  Arches cold press watercolour paper
  • a sketchbook .
  • The paper you will use to make your deck of spirit cards will be sold to you here.

Watercolour Kit

Kit is available for purchase from the instructor for an additional $226 (incl. HST)
Kit includes the following:

  • 1 Sheet 140 lb cold press, Arches paper (22" x 30")
  • 10 Tubes of watercolour (student grade, 8ml, Winsor & Newton, Cotman)
    • Yellow Ochre
    • Gamboge Hue
    • Intense Blue
    • Ultramarine Blue
    • Alizarin Crimson
    • Cadmium Red
    • Burnt Sienna
    • Paynes Gray
    • Hookers Green
    • Sap Green
  • Covered palette
  • 1 brush - (a #10 round)
  • Corrugated plastic board (20" x 24")
