Course Description:
Do you need some practice mixing colour? This one day event may be just what you need to kick start your 2025 paintings. The morning session involves using both warm and cool palettes to create colour wheels in your sketchbook. We then move on to mixing pages of “grey” tonal studies. After lunch, you will select a set of primary colours to mix your personal ‘deck’ of colour.
Materials List:
- Sketchbook and pencil
- Colour wheel
- Acrylic paints and brushes ( bring what you have)
- Peelable paper palette
- Paper towels
- Plastic bag for your garbage
- Piece of 22x30” watercolour paper ( 140lb or 300lb your choice). I suggest bringing an unsuccessful painting you are willing to rip up and paint over.
